Sandra Leyan Castillo, FNP-C

Sandra started her career as an RN for 5 years in cardiothoracic surgery in Chile before pursuing her master’s degree. She graduated with honors from Boston College as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019 and worked in orthopedics in Chile. She ran Chile’s first Fracture Liaison Service and won the Betty McClung grant from the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research in 2022. Her work as a nurse practitioner abroad was also acknowledged by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners naming her an international ambassador in 2023. Sandra joined NEW Health in 2024, and she is passionate about providing culturally sensitive care to educate and empower our Latinx population.
