Homemaking Services

Light housekeeping is provided, such as mopping floors, vacuuming, changing linens, doing laundry, preparing meals, local shopping, kitchen cleaning, and bathroom cleaning.

Personal Care Services

Trained homemaker staff assists client with bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulating, feeding, medication reminders, companionship and escorting to medical appointments.

For personal care homemaker services we accept private pay clients as well as referrals from Mass Rehab and Boston Senior Home Care.

Home Visiting Services

A board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner will provide medical services in the home to NEW Health elders from the North End and nearby communities who are home or too frail to venture out. Services include medical assessment, collaboration with the patient’s primary care provider, home lab draws, medication review, teaching, home safety evaluation, and assistance with referral to community resources. The client’s insurance is billed for these services.

Transportation Services

NEW Health has two fully equipped vans that can pick up nearby elderly patients at their homes and drive them to the health center and MGH for their appointments. The vans have seatbelts, a wheelchair lift, and drivers trained to ensure the safety of all passengers. There is a reasonable fee charged for this service.
