Our outreach program runs comprehensive programming that aims to provide patients with education, helpful materials, and healthy options that continue our mission.

Food Access Program
NEW Health’s Food Access Program offers a wide variety of initiatives to combat food insecurity in our communities. Some of these initiatives include monthly produce distributions, maintaining a community garden, and filling our Charlestown Community Fridge. For more information on the program, click here.
Youth Photovoice Project in Charlestown
In collaboration with the state, NEW Health offers an exciting after-school program for Charlestown teenagers. Teens embark on a 20 weeklong project spanning from November thru June that teaches them the dangers of problem gambling, how it impacts their community, and how to utilize photography as a way to educate their neighborhood as well. Students who complete the program receive a camera, weekly meals, and a large stipend. Stay tuned for when enrollment opens in the fall.
School Outreach
We are proud to partner with local schools such as the Eliot, St. John’s, Warren-Prescott, and Harvard-Kent to provide education to their students and participate in a variety of activities. If your school is interested in receiving a health talk from a NEW Health provider, contact Danny Coakley.
Lunch and Health Talks
On the 2nd Friday of every month, NEW Health works with a local North End restaurant to provide a healthy lunch to our seniors while they receive are educated on a health topic from one of our providers.
