On Monday, March 25th, NEW Health celebrated a significant milestone with the grand opening ceremony of its new Charlestown Pharmacy, located at 15 Tufts Street. This event marked a bold step forward for the health center in its mission to expand equitable, high-quality healthcare services to the Charlestown community, now including prescription medications.
The Charlestown Pharmacy Grand Opening ceremony was attended by several local dignitaries, including State Senator Sal DiDomenico, State Representative Dan Ryan, City Council President Ruthzee Louijeune, and City Councilor Gabriela “Gigi” Coletta. Michael Curry, President of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, also attended, highlighting the importance of this endeavor in the broader context of community health.
The Charlestown Pharmacy operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, offering its services to all members of the community, not exclusively patients of the health center. By establishing this pharmacy, NEW Health has further solidified its presence as a vital healthcare provider in the Charlestown area, reinforcing its dedication to improving the health and well-being of the community it serves.
Through this endeavor, NEW Health continues to exemplify its core values of inclusivity, quality care, and community engagement, setting a standard for healthcare organizations striving to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families.
