The COVID Pandemic has increased the number of people affected by food insecurity in a drastic fashion. To combat this, NEWHealth’s Food Insecurity Program is incredibly excited to announce the opening of a Community Fridge at our Charlestown Health Center on 15 Tufts St. The fridge is open 24/7 to the public, anyone can take what they need.
The Food Insecurity Program is looking for food donations (click here to view guidelines) and volunteers to maintain the fridge on weekends and holidays when the Health Center is closed (click here to view calendar or here to volunteer).
