North End Coalition Looking to Hire for Two New Positions

The recently formed North End Coalition is looking to hire two positions as part of its plan to increase its presence and battle substance use in the neighborhood and to assist community members with recovery. The open positions are for a program manager as well as an outreach worker. If possible, the Coalition would prefer to hire current residents of the North End or candidates with strong ties to the neighborhood.

The Coalition is looking to hire an LCSW/LICSW or a candidate with appropriate experience for the Program Manager position; some of the responsibilities include community relations, program development, data management and supervisory. Under general supervision and guidance of the Director Substance Use Disorder Services at New Health, the Coalition Manager is responsible for the overall implementation of the Coalition’s ongoing development. Interested candidates can view the full job description here.

Their role of Community Outreach Worker involves supporting the community at large and persons actively using/misusing substances as well as those who are in recovery from a substance use disorder. The Outreach Worker will serve as an advocate and motivator to those who require anything from information up to and including individuals who need education, prevention and/or treatment.
