NEW Health Rated in Top 1 Percent of Health Centers by HRSA

North End Waterfront Health (NEW Health) has been recognized as a top-quality leader by The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HRSA). HRSA announced $107 million in Quality Improvement Awards to over 1,200 health centers across the country for use to expand their achievements in clinical quality improvement, care delivery efficiency and the overall value of health care in the communities they serve. NEW Health held a party for staff and board members on Wednesday, September 25, to celebrate the tremendous honor.

NEW Health was the only health center out of 50 in Massachusetts to score in the highest category, National Quality Leaders. This ranked NEW Health in the top one percent of all health centers nationwide in the clinical quality measures that promote behavioral health, diabetes health, and heart health.  NEW Health CEO, Jim Luisi, was on hand on Wednesday to comment.

“Our partnerships with Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Medical Center allow us to provide cutting edge care to our patients and their families and we are grateful to be recognized by HRSA for our work.” Said Luisi.

NEW Health operates three health centers in the North End, Charlestown, and at Charlestown High School.
